About me

I am a passionate Web Developer with strong background in life science and skills in graphical illustration and design

I am passionate about discovering new things, solving problems, answering questions and learning. Out of this passion, a scientist was born. I joined university and started training my research skills in biology. Eventually, this earned me a PhD title. The pursuit of knowledge, learning and teaching I found all very fascinating but slowly my interest drifted. Whenever I would present my results or teach a student, I would put more and more of my science into pictures.

Eventually I taught myself more of computer graphics and science illustration. In this way I realized that my place is not at the bench anymore, as I started drawing more. I started looking for a job that could combine better my scientific knowledge and my drive to show science in pictures.

Meanwhile, at some point I also desired my own space in the world wide web - a website. As the usual me, I thought I can just do it myself, there are so many resources online. At this point however, I did not know how to code... Luckily, there are awesome programs that can teach you web development in just a few months. I enrolled, and guess what? I loved it! I have been programming since then. My favorite is the frontend and building of UI and figuring out the UX. I like creating designs and watch them come to life under users fingers.
:) I am happy to talk, so write me a message.
